'Which of these three do you think was a neighbour to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?' The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” Luke 10: 29-37

Welcome

“Learning to Live Life to the Full” (John 10:10),

Brockington is a caring and forward-looking community where staff and students learn to live well together. We want every child to flourish academically, spiritually, in their talents, and through the development of their character.

While this website gives you a glimpse of our values and opportunities, the best way to experience Brockington is to see it in action. I would be delighted to welcome you personally for a tour, so you can meet our staff and students and get a real sense of what makes our school special. Please do get in touch to arrange a visit.

We were delighted to host our first KS3 SEND parents’ workshops yesterday! 🙌
It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our school community together with families and external professionals to share advice, expertise and support 🤝

We were grateful to welcome colleagues from the Educational Psychology Service, Autism Outreach Team, Leicestershire SEND Hub and Teen Health, whose time and guidance were invaluable. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our dedicated school staff, including our school counsellor and attendance officer, who reinforced the importance of strong attendance and reminded us that every lesson counts, especially for learners with SEND.

💬 Parents shared highly positive feedback, describing the session as a valuable space for signposting, accessing advice and gaining clarity from both school and external professionals. It was also a great opportunity for our SENDCo to reconnect with families, listen to experiences, and continue shaping provision around what our children need most.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and share feedback, we look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership with families 💙

Our Ethos & Values

At Brockington College, our mission “learning to live life to the full” shapes everything we do. Guided by our eight Christian values, we aim to create a caring, respectful community where students grow in character, develop their potential, and learn to make a positive difference in the world.

Compassion

"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36)

Forgiveness

"Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)

Justice

"Turn your back on evil, work for the good and don’t quit. God loves this kind of thing, never turns away from his friends." (Psalms 37:27-28)

Koinonia

"So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Learning

"Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights." (Proverbs 18:15)

Perseverance

"Never get tired of doing good." (2 Thessalonians 3:13)

Respect

"Respect the authorities, whatever their level; they are God’s emissaries for keeping order... Treat everyone you meet with dignity." (1 Peter 2:17)

Wisdom

"Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!" (Proverbs 4:6-7)
