At Brockington College, our mission “learning to live life to the full” shapes everything we do. Guided by our eight Christian values, we aim to create a caring, respectful community where students grow in character, develop their potential, and learn to make a positive difference in the world.
"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36)
"Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)
"Turn your back on evil, work for the good and don’t quit. God loves this kind of thing, never turns away from his friends." (Psalms 37:27-28)
"So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
"Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights." (Proverbs 18:15)
"Never get tired of doing good." (2 Thessalonians 3:13)
"Respect the authorities, whatever their level; they are God’s emissaries for keeping order... Treat everyone you meet with dignity." (1 Peter 2:17)
"Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!" (Proverbs 4:6-7)
On Thursday 26th February, some of our Year 8 students took part in this year’s inspiring Youth Conference at Blaby District Council 🌟
Throughout the day, students:
🎭 Took part in a Theatre in Education session exploring misogyny
🗣️ Heard a powerful talk on discrimination and activism from Warning Zone
🗳️ Met local councillors to discuss voting at 16 and youth voice
It was a fantastic experience, and we’re excited to continue strengthening student advocacy through our PSHCE lessons.
A huge well done to everyone who attended, and an extra shoutout to our students who are already members of the Youth Council and even helped plan and run the day - we are so proud of all of you! 💛✨ ... See MoreSee Less
