At Brockington College, the Computing, ICT and Business department is committed to preparing students to live life to the full in an increasingly digital world. We believe that every student should learn how to use technology safely, efficiently and responsibly, while also understanding how digital tools can improve lives, transform businesses and shape the future.
Our aim is to provide all students with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to follow whichever pathway they choose, whether further study, future employment or simply being able to operate effectively in modern society. Through our curriculum, students explore topics that are directly relevant to today’s digital world and gain insights into the concepts and practices that underpin careers in Computing, ICT and Business.
The curriculum is ambitious, carefully planned and sequenced to ensure it is broad, balanced and inclusive for all learners. It is rooted in the National Curriculum, ensuring comprehensive coverage while also providing opportunities for students to develop transferable skills such as problem solving, creativity, critical thinking and digital literacy.
By Key Stage 4, students are well prepared to progress onto specialist courses in Computing, ICT or Business. Whether pursuing further education or entering the world of work, our students are equipped not only with technical knowledge but also with the adaptability and resilience needed to thrive in the fast changing digital landscape.
