Open Evening ’25
We warmly invite prospective pupils, parents and carers to join us for our Open Evening on Wednesday 24 September 2025 between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm. This event is a wonderful opportunity to step inside Brockington College and experience what makes our school a vibrant and welcoming place to learn.
During the evening, there will be scheduled presentations from our Acting Principal, Mr Jon Barton, who will outline the journey pupils take with us from Year 7 to Year 11 and share how we support every child to achieve their very best. You will also have the chance to speak directly with senior staff about curriculum, support services, and the wide range of opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the school site at their own pace, with every department open for you to visit. Our staff will be available to explain their subjects and showcase pupils’ work, while our students will guide you through activities, answer your questions, and give you a first-hand insight into life at Brockington.
Open Evening is the perfect way to get a feel for the school, to see our facilities in action, and to meet the people who bring our vision to life every day. Whether you are exploring secondary schools for the first time or looking for the right place for the next stage of your child’s education, we hope this event will help you make an informed and confident decision.

At Brockington, Learning to Live Life to the Full is far more than a motto. It is the heartbeat of our community, shaping everything we do and ensuring that every child is nurtured to achieve their full potential. We cannot wait to welcome you and share our vision with you.
Who are we?
We are a forward-looking and inclusive Church of England Academy, guided by our mission statement, learning to live life to the full. Taken from John 10:10, this vision shapes everything we do. At Brockington College, it is our aim that every student is able to flourish academically and spiritually, to grow in their talents, and to develop character that prepares them for the future.
We are deeply committed to delivering excellent academic outcomes, but education at Brockington goes far beyond examination results. We provide opportunities for students to discover who they might become, what passions they might pursue, what hidden gifts they may uncover and the values that will shape their lives. Our curriculum and wider provision are designed to nurture the whole child, enabling young people to grow intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually, so that they become confident, compassionate and well-rounded citizens who care for others and contribute positively to society.
We are proud that the strength and impact of our vision was affirmed in our most recent SIAMS inspection in June 2023, where we were judged to be Excellent. The inspection recognised that living life to the full is a reality for our students, staff and community, and that our Christian ethos continues to transform lives.
