What should my child do if they feel ill at school?
- Brockington College employs a school health and wellbeing coordinator who acts as the main school first aider. Your child should make their teacher aware, who will contact the first aider who will assess your child and make the decision to send you child home; we will contact you immediately, if this is the case. Please let us know of any medical issues or allergies or changes to medical conditions so that we can keep our medical records up-to-date and respond appropriately whilst your child is in school.
- It is also important that the school always has up-to-date telephone numbers for home, work and mobile to enable us to contact you immediately, if required.
- With regards to Covid-19, Brockington College will follow the government guidance to help prevent the spread of the virus. If your child is presenting symptoms of Covid-19, then please keep your child at home and follow the government guidelines. If your child becomes unwell with symptoms of coronavirus at school, such as a continuous cough, high temperature, or has a loss of, or change in their normal taste or smell, the school will contact you immediately for them to be collected.
